Our Vision

The Southeast Media Preservation Lab was created with the mission to forestall the loss of the South’s moving image collections and preserve this important and irreplaceable part of America's cultural heritage.  We accomplish this through outreach, education, advocacy and action. For more information on our organization, please visit our FAQ.

Our Work

We provide critical services for the restoration and reformatting of historic video and film programs.  To date we have migrated 15 endangered video works from analog to digital format.  Please visit our PROJECTS page for more information about our services, preservation case studies and links to streaming video.

Get Involved

Disappearing analog equipment.  Disappearing tape stock.  Catastrophe.  Neglect.  All are the enemy of our analog culture heritage.  If you know of any historic media collections that need attention or wish to support our projects through a tax-deductible DONATION, we invite you to use the online  CONTACT form to drop us a line.
